CREATE YOUR FIRST HOUSE TRACK - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By enrolling in the "Create Your First House Track" Workshop ("Workshop"), you ("Participant," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). We're excited to have you join us, and these Terms help ensure everyone has the best possible experience.

We operate on principles of mutual respect and trust. These terms aren't about control – they're about creating a sustainable way to share knowledge while respecting everyone's investment. We believe in your freedom to learn, create, and build upon what you learn here. We simply ask that you respect the community and help us continue offering these workshops.

1. ENROLLMENT & ELIGIBILITY

1.1 You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enroll. Participants under 18 may enroll with written consent from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

1.2 Enrollment is personal to you and grants access to one individual only. We keep our workshops small and intimate, so each spot is valuable.

1.3 You represent that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this agreement.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS & SETUP

2.1 To fully participate, you'll need:

  • Ableton Live 12 (latest version) properly installed and activated

  • A computer capable of running Ableton Live 12 smoothly

  • Reliable internet connection for video streaming

  • Functional webcam and microphone

2.2 Important Setup Process: One week before the Workshop, you'll receive a technical verification checklist. You must complete this checklist and either:

  • Successfully verify all items independently, OR

  • Attend the Technical Setup Call if you need assistance

2.3 Technical Setup Call: This call is crucial for ensuring everyone starts on equal footing. If you cannot attend, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can arrange an alternative solution. Missing this call without notice may affect your eligibility for technical-related refunds, as we're dedicating extra time specifically to help you succeed.

2.4 We're here to help you get set up properly – this preparation is essential for your learning experience and ensures you can focus on creating music rather than troubleshooting technical issues.

3. WORKSHOP STRUCTURE & PARTICIPATION

3.1 The Workshop consists of four (4) sessions of approximately 2.5 hours each (structured as 75 minutes, 15-minute break, 60 minutes).

3.2 All times are in Eastern Time (ET). Please calculate your local time accordingly.

3.3 Active Participation: To get the most from this experience:

  • Attend all four sessions in their entirety

  • Engage actively throughout each session

  • Follow along with instructions and exercises

  • Use the catch-up resources we provide if you fall behind

3.4 Camera use is warmly encouraged – it helps build community and enhances the learning experience for everyone. Active participation is expected regardless of camera status.

4. REFUND POLICY

4.1 Because this is a live, small-group workshop with limited spots, we have a thoughtful refund policy designed to be fair to all participants.

4.2 Refund Eligibility: Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis for participants who:

  • Attend all four sessions in full

  • Complete the technical setup requirements (including the Setup Call if needed)

  • Actively participate and follow instructions throughout

  • Make genuine use of catch-up resources and additional support offered

  • Despite these efforts, are unable to complete a house track

4.3 Important: This isn't a "try it and see" policy. Refunds are not available simply because you change your mind or decide the workshop isn't for you. They're reserved for situations where, despite your genuine effort and our comprehensive support, the workshop genuinely fails to deliver on its promise of helping you create your first house track.

4.4 Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours after the final session, explaining the specific challenges that prevented track completion despite full participation.

4.5 We provide extensive catch-up opportunities and support – we genuinely want you to succeed and will work hard to help you achieve the workshop's goals.

5. WORKSHOP RECORDINGS & ACCESS

5.1 YouTube Access: Sessions will be recorded and provided via private YouTube links. You'll have access to these recordings as long as they remain available on the platform. While we intend this to be lifetime access, we cannot guarantee against circumstances beyond our control (platform changes, technical issues, etc.).

5.2 Download Option: Within one week after the Workshop concludes, you'll receive a Dropbox link to download the recordings for your personal archive. This download link will remain active for seven (7) days. After this period, we're not obligated to provide download access again, though we'll always try to help when possible.

5.3 Personal Use Rights: You may:

  • Watch recordings unlimited times

  • Record sessions yourself for personal backup

  • Download and save recordings during the download window

  • Create personal backup copies

  • Store on multiple devices for your own use

  • Create derivative works for personal, non-commercial use

5.4 Sharing Restrictions: We believe in freedom and sharing knowledge, but we also need to sustain this work and be fair to paying participants. Therefore, we ask that you:

  • Not share recordings with any third party

  • Not post recordings online (any platform)

  • Not share YouTube or Dropbox links with others

  • Not sell, distribute, or commercially exploit recordings

  • Not create commercial derivative works without permission

5.5 Trust & Enforcement: We trust our community to respect these boundaries. However, unauthorized commercial use or public distribution will result in us being unable to offer you future workshops or programs. In severe cases, we may need to pursue appropriate remedies to protect the workshop and fellow participants' investment.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Music you create during the Workshop is yours to use commercially without payment to us or other participants.

6.2 Due to the group instruction format, participants may create similar tracks. You acknowledge that:

  • No one has exclusive rights to the techniques taught

  • All participants may commercialize their creations

  • Similarity between tracks is expected and acceptable

6.3 By participating, you grant us permission to:

  • Use your testimonials for marketing (if provided)

  • Include your participation in recordings for future students

  • Showcase your completed track as example work (with attribution if requested)

6.4 Templates, samples, and instructional materials provided remain available for your commercial use after the Workshop.

7. CODE OF CONDUCT

7.1 We maintain a supportive, respectful learning environment. Please treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism.

7.2 We ask that you avoid:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination

  • Disrupting the learning experience for others

  • Inappropriate language or content

  • Recording or photographing participants without consent

7.3 We believe in proportional response. Minor issues will be addressed with a friendly reminder. For severe violations or after appropriate warnings, participants may be removed without refund. We're here to learn and grow together in a positive environment.

8. PAYMENT TERMS

8.1 Full payment of $400 is due upon enrollment.

8.2 Chargebacks: If you have any concerns about your purchase, please contact us directly first – we're always willing to work toward a fair resolution. Initiating a chargeback without attempting to resolve issues directly may result in our inability to offer you future programs, as chargebacks significantly impact small creators.

8.3 We stand behind our Workshop and want you to be satisfied with your investment.

9. RESCHEDULING & UNEXPECTED CIRCUMSTANCES

9.1 If we cannot deliver a session due to illness, technical failure, or other unforeseen circumstances, we'll promptly schedule a makeup session.

9.2 If you cannot attend the makeup session, you'll be transferred to the next available Workshop cohort at no additional charge.

9.3 We're committed to delivering all promised content, even if rescheduling becomes necessary.

10. DISCLAIMERS

10.1 While we provide comprehensive instruction in music production, we cannot guarantee:

  • Commercial success of your music

  • Specific career outcomes

  • Revenue generation

10.2 Your results depend on many factors including effort, practice, and market conditions beyond our control.

10.3 The Workshop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10.4 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for Workshop enrollment.

11. COMMUNICATIONS

11.1 By enrolling, you consent to receive emails about:

  • Workshop logistics and materials

  • Technical setup requirements

  • Follow-up surveys

  • Occasional announcements about future workshops (with easy opt-out)

12. GENERAL PROVISIONS

12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

12.2 Any disputes should first be addressed through direct communication. Formal proceedings, if necessary, shall occur in Los Angeles, California courts.

12.3 If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

12.4 These Terms constitute our entire agreement regarding the Workshop.

12.5 We reserve the right to modify these Terms for future Workshop cohorts. Your enrollment is governed by the Terms in effect at your time of purchase.

13. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By enrolling in the Workshop, you acknowledge that you've read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

We're excited to help you create your first house track!
