FAQ
I've never made music before. Is this really for complete beginners?
Absolutely. We start from zero - I'll show you exactly where to click and what to do. If you are comfortable using a computer and love house music, you're ready.
Do I need any music theory knowledge?
Not at all. The framework I teach focuses on creativity and feel, not complex theory.
Do I need to be good with computers?
You don’t need to be a tech wizard, but you do need basic computer skills to get the most from this workshop. If you know how to install programs, unzip files, and move things between folders, you’ll be totally fine. If those things feel overwhelming, this workshop may not be the right starting point.
Do I need to own Ableton?
You’ll need the latest version of Ableton Live 12 installed but the free trial works perfectly if you don't yet own a full copy.
What if I need help getting Ableton set up?
A week before the workshop, you’ll receive a short checklist to make sure everything’s running smoothly. If you can’t tick everything off, no problem — we hold a two-hour setup window where you can drop in for five minutes and get help. That’s usually all it takes. The goal is simple: to make sure nobody wastes workshop time on avoidable technical issues, so we can all start creating music together right away.
How interactive are the sessions?
Very! You'll be working alongside me in real-time, and we have dedicated question time often. You can also use chat for immediate help if you get stuck and myself or my assistant will help you.
Will I really finish an entire track in one weekend?
Yes. Everyone who follows along will export a completed house track by Sunday evening. The framework is designed specifically to achieve this.
What if I can't attend all sessions live?
No worries. Every session is recorded, and you’ll get private links right after the workshop. You’ll also receive a download link so you can save all the recordings to your own computer and keep them forever.
What if I don’t finish my track?
If you show up, participate fully, and still don’t manage to finish, I’ll refund you in full. This is about effort, not perfection — if you genuinely put in the work, you’re covered.
Will I be able to make more tracks after the workshop?
The framework I teach isn't just for your first track - it's the exact process I use for every release. Once you complete this one track with me, you'll have the confidence and knowledge to start your next one right away.
